The Japan Mint Museum was opened in 1969.

We are very happy if you understand the history of coins essential to our daily life and what we have produced, when you visit. Around 4,000 items are exhibited in the Museum.

You will be able to find many new and astonishing things in the Museum. Coins in your textbook and coins related to Japanese history and the geography of Japan are exhibited in the Museum.
