Mint Museum Tour (Saitama Branch)

[Museums and Exhibition Rooms Reopen]
The Mint Museums (Osaka and Saitama) and Exhibition Room (Hiroshima), which had been closed since Saturday February, 29, 2020 to avoid novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and spreading, have reopened on Monday, June 22, 2020.

* Mint Tour (guided tour and reservation) is NOT in service at the moment.

The Mint Museum is located in the premises of Saitama Branch. Exhibited items are panels and Material to explain coin production process and orders etc., Old coins, Commemorative Coins, Orders. Its quantity is around 1,000 pieces.

Our Museum exhibits very rare and precious coins, such as ″20 yen gold coin″ which is the last gold coin issued in 1932 (Showa 7) in the time of the gold standard monetary system, Never – issued Coins, Coins of trial production etc.
In addition, we shows so valuable coins named ″TAKENAGASIKIN″ and ″KIKUKIRIKINJO″, which are extremely rare gold coins in historical point of view. You can see them only at our museum.

*English descriptions of display items in the museum are available by scanning QR codes(a QR scanner or a smartphone with built-in-camera required).

Tour Days Trough the year (Please note that Mint Museum of Saitama branch closes on year-end/new year holidays. In addition to above, it may close without prior notification due to unexpected or unavoidable circumstances.)
Application for Tour Prior reservations are not required.
