Mint Museum (Saitama Branch)
The Mint Museum is located in the premises of Saitama Branch. Exhibited items are panels and Material to explain coin production process and orders etc., Old coins, Commemorative Coins, Orders. Its quantity is around 1,000 pieces.
Our Museum exhibits very rare and precious coins, such as ″20 yen gold coin″ which is the last gold coin issued in 1932 (Showa 7) in the time of the gold standard monetary system, Never – issued Coins, Coins of trial production etc.
In addition, we shows so valuable coins named ″TAKENAGASIKIN″ and ″KIKUKIRIKINJO″, which are extremely rare gold coins in historical point of view. You can see them only at our museum.
*English descriptions of display items in the museum are available by scanning QR codes(a QR scanner or a smartphone with built-in-camera required).
The Mint Museum is open in principal all year round but closed on the 3rd Wednesday of every month and year-end/new year holidays, etc.

A prior telephone reservation (Only Japanese language available) is required for parties of 20 or more people.

No Admission fee
Due to the limited admission, a group of 20 or more persons are requested to make a reservation in advance by phone (Only Japanese language available). Please note, however, that we may not be able to accept a reservation depending on the number of people in your group.

12 minutes on foot from Saitama-Shintoshin station east exit of JR Utsunomiya Line・Takasaki Line・Keihin Tohoku Line

3 minutes on foot from Saitama-Shintoshin Bus Terminal of Tobu Bus.
〇Parking lot
There is no parking space available. Visitors are recommended to use public transportation.
※ Only for visitors having difficulty in walking, Japan Mint provide parking. However, please contact us in advance since the parking lot is limited.
※ Parking lot for bicycles is located in front of the entrance of the Museum.
