To commemorate the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, a total of 37 coins, comprising 25 Olympic Games coins and 12 Paralympic Games coins, have been issued in Japan in four series. This special limited edition of commemorative proof coins for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 contains all 37 coins, 1,000 of each of which have been additionally struck in this year 2020, the second year of Reiwa. These additionally produced coins, not only the 10,000 yen gold coins and 1,000 yen silver coins, but also the 500 yen bicolor clad coins and 100 yen clad coins, are all beautiful proof coins, each of which has a finely frosted relief against a mirror-like background. |
