FIDEM XXXVI 2020 TOKYO JAPAN Gold Medal

This medal has been produced to commemorate the FIDEM TOKYO 2020 composed of XXXVI FIDEM World Art Medal Congress and XXXVI FIDEM International Contemporary Art Medal Exhibition, held by the Fédération Internationale de la Médaille d’Art (FIDEM). This event was originally scheduled to be held in October, 2020, but later it was postponed to December, 2021 in view of the prevention of the spread of coronavirus.
Obverse: : The design features an obi-jime, a decorative cord tied around the obi (belt) of a kimono, symbolic of Japanese culture, together with a Japanese pattern, and expresses connections between people.
Reverse: The design features kazari-musubi (decorative knots) on the obi (belt) of a kimono, symbolic of Japanese culture, together with a Japanese pattern, and expresses connections between people.
