Descriptions

In July 2021, the Jomon Archaeological Sites in Hokkaido and Northern Tohoku were registered as the World Cultural Heritage Site. To commemorate this, this BU coin set is being sold.

A red brass medal is made for this BU Coin Set; the goggle-eyed clay figurine is designed on the obverse with the logo for the Jomon Prehistoric Sites on the reverse side.

 
 

This set is comprised of:

  • Six Japanese legal tender coins issued in 2025 in brilliant uncirculated condition (a 500 yen bicolor clad coin (nickel brass, cupronickel and copper), a 100 yen cupronickel coin, a 50 yen cupronickel coin, a 10 yen bronze coin, a 5 yen brass coin and a 1 yen aluminum coin)
  • A red brass medal (Size: 27mm, Weight: approx. 7.5g)
  • A special paper holder
  • A slip case
