In July 2021, the Jomon Archaeological Sites in Hokkaido and Northern Tohoku were registered as the World Cultural Heritage Site. To commemorate this, this BU coin set is being sold.

A red brass medal is made for this BU Coin Set; the goggle-eyed clay figurine is designed on the obverse with the logo for the Jomon Prehistoric Sites on the reverse side.
This set is comprised of:
- Six Japanese legal tender coins issued in 2025 in brilliant uncirculated condition (a 500 yen bicolor clad coin (nickel brass, cupronickel and copper), a 100 yen cupronickel coin, a 50 yen cupronickel coin, a 10 yen bronze coin, a 5 yen brass coin and a 1 yen aluminum coin)
- A red brass medal (Size: 27mm, Weight: approx. 7.5g)
- A special paper holder
- A slip case
