ISO Certification
ISO 9001:2000 / ISO 14001:2004 Certification
Japan Mint obtained the certification of ISO 9001:2000, the International Standard for Quality Management System, within the scope of production of coins, in March of 2003; furthermore, the scope of the registration was expanded to all operations at the Mint in March of 2004. In December of 2005, the Mint also obtained the certification of ISO 14001:2004, the International Standard for Environmental Management System, within the scope of all the operations.
