Golden Pavilion
Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku) is a gilded three-story reliquary hall erected by shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu (1358-1408) in Kyoto. The wooden structure was destroyed by arson in 1950, but an exact reproduction of the original was completed in 1955

Osaka Castle
The construction of Osaka Castle was started in 1583 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a warlord who later unified the country. After repeated destruction and reconstruction, the existing tower of castle was rebuilt in 1931.

Old Man Noh Mask
Old Man (Okina) is one of Noh stories, played at the time of auspicious events in the hope of world peace, of world tranquility, and of a rich harvest. To symbolize this hope, the Noh mask symbolizes rich and plump lineaments.

( Noh play )
Musicals featuring Japanese traditional songs and dances accompanied by a Japanese flute, a shoulder drum, a hip drum, and a stick drum. It reached the culmination during the Muromachi Period (1392-1573), with the contributions of two geniuses: Kanami and Zeami. Noh play represents human emotions in an extremely simplified manner. It was selected as a World Intangible Heritage by UNESCO in 2001.
Red Plum Tree
Red Plum Tree (Kobai zu) is the right panel of a twofold screen Red and White Plum Trees (Kohakubai zu) by Ogata Korin (1658-1716), one of the greatest painters/designers of the Edo period (1603-1868). This gorgeous screen is his masterpiece, and designated as a national treasure.
